Eels: Team Preview

Much is expected of the Eels after they were arguably the form team of the second half of last year, only just falling short in the grand final. Timana Tahu is back after two unhappy years playing rugby and the club has also picked up Justin Poore and Shane Shackleton. The departures include Joe Galuvao, Todd Lowrie and Kevin Kingston. The punters' favourite to go one better this year.
What has to go right: Jarryd Hayne and Fuifui Moimoi have to reproduce the stellar form that saw the fullback mesmerise defences and the block-busting prop smash opponents into submission.
What could go wrong: Hayne and Moimoi may have grabbed most of the headlines during Parramatta's golden run late last season but Daniel Mortimer was a big reason for their success as well and the club will be hoping the second-year blues don't strike the young gun.
Nightmare headline: Hayne's Cross catastrophe
