Easy win for Volandri

Italian Filippo Volandri was barely tested as he strolled into the second round of the Romania Open on Monday.
The world No.97, who reached the final in Bucharest in 2006, was far too strong for Poland's Lukasz Kubot 6-3 6-0 to set up a clash with either sixth seed Victor Hanescu or Spaniard Marcel Granollers.
The win was Volandri's first at the ATP World Tour level in five months, although he has posted some good results on the Challenger Tour with a title in Rome and runner-up finishes in San Marino and Trani.
There was only one main draw match on Monday.
Spaniard Albert Montanes is the top seed in Bucharest.
