It feels great to be back home and sleeping in my own bed as February just passed through like a blur as we played on the road for almost the entire month.
There's a rodeo show in San Antonio every year that means we can't play at home for a few weeks and maybe next year I will see if I can get a day off to go to it as it would give me a chance to wear my cowboy boots!
While playing on the road is tough, there were opportunities for everyone on our team to perform as we had a few guys out with injury.
We want to get everyone back and healthy in time for the playoffs as we need to be as fresh as possible heading into the post-season.
I had a few chances to grab my opportunity last month while Tony Parker was sidelined and I feel my confidence is rising with every game.
I am finding my way through the system and understanding my role on the team much better now and am heading into games ready to step up and make more of a contribution.
My defence is also improving and I put that down to all the fitness work I have been doing right through the season.
The majority of the time I am on the court I get the chance to pressure the ball carrier and I really see that as one of my strengths.
I try and take opposition players out of their comfort zones and disrupt them as much as I can and just do whatever my coach asks.
I haven't really had the chance to sit down and think about my plans for next season as we are so determined to get back to where we were last year and reach the NBA Finals.
I really love San Antonio and cherish all the friendships I have built with the players and the coaches, so we will just leave the contract stuff to later in the year and cross that bridge when we come to it.
We really don't want to have any distractions during the playoffs as we remain confident that we have all the tools and the players to win the Championship this season.
It is difficult to win games in the NBA and especially on the road, so it is just a matter of approaching each game one match at a time and improving collectively so that we hit our straps at the right time.
We know we will have to bring our A-Game every night, but we are really looking forward to the challenge and hope to have all our players ready to go for all the big games.
