Williams unveil 2015 car

PatSymonds-Cropped

The lack of changes in Formula One's regulations has enabled WIlliams to build a car that can again challenge at the front of the grid in 2015, according to chief technical officer Pat Symonds.

The first images of Williams' FW37 car were revealed in F1 Racing magazine on Wednesday as the British team aim to continue their recent renaissance.

Williams finished third in the constructors' standings in 2014 with 320 points, as Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa ended the campaign in the top 10 in the drivers' championship.

And Symonds is confident they can continue to make progress.

"The more rule stability there is, the closer the field gets," said Symonds.

"I hope as a team we are more capable of maintaining the forward momentum to catch Mercedes, than the teams behind us are of catching us.

"It’s not just about stable regulations but also about the team and every individual that works here moving forward and improving."

Williams will have the first opportunity to compare their new car with the competition when testing begins in Jerez on February 1.
