The 20-year-old lost control near the end of the race but instead of being kicked off, he managed to grip onto the handlebars.
Ajo then veered away from the wall, made it back to the track and crossed the finish line…while being dragged alongside his bike.
“I’m OK, nothing happened and I was really lucky not to hit the wall,” he said afterwards.
“When you almost crash like this, the wall is really close there and if I tried to save it I would’ve hit the wall.”
