Team Penske unveils special paint schemes to celebrate MillerCoors sponsorship

Brad Keselowski

Team Penske and MillerCoors, which enjoy one of the longest-running sponsorship relationships in NASCAR, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of that partnership with a number of special paint schemes for 2015.

Brad Keselowski’s No. 2 Penske Racing Ford is carrying a commemorative 25th anniversary Miller Lite logo for the first time this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

In addition, the team on Thursday announced two special “retro” paint schemes that it will use later this year:

• The black and gold Miller Genuine Draft paint scheme that appeared on Rusty Wallace’s car in the 1990s will be used for the Aug. 16 race at Michigan. Miller came aboard as a Penske-Wallace sponsor during the 1991 season.

• The red and white Miller High Life design that appeared on Bobby Allison’s car in the 1980s will be used for the Labor Day weekend race at Darlington.

The team also announced an upcoming contest in which fans can vote online to pick which special paint scheme will appear on Keselowski’s Ford in the Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May.

“It is remarkable that Team Penske and Miller have been racing together for 25 years,” Keselowski said in a statement. “It is definitely an honor for me to be able to drive a car that has such a rich and storied tradition of excellence.”
