The Japanese constructor withdrew at the end of a disappointing 2011 campaign that yielded only 73 points.

However, having developed a new bike, Suzuki are ready to return to MotoGP, with Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales announced as their riders.

Current test manager Davide Brivio will lead Suzuki and will oversee their wildcard appearance at the final race of the current season in Valencia.

Espargaro, who impressed at the Aragon Grand Prix last weekend as he finished second behind eventual race winner Jorge Lorenzo, is looking forward to the new chapter in his career next season.

"Really happy to announce that I will race with Suzuki next year!!" he posted on his official Twitter account.

"Really motivated on this new adventure."

Vinales also had a good weekend in Aragon as he took victory in the Moto2 race on board his Kalex bike.

The 19-year-old currently sits third in the riders' championship, trailing leader Esteve Rabat by 74 points.
