NASCAR teams honor the late Steve Byrnes at Richmond

Several NASCAR Sprint Cup teams are paying tribute to the late Steve Byrnes with special paint schemesfor Saturday night’s Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway.

The veteran NASCAR television reporter and show host died Tuesday at age 56 after a battle with cancer.

This weekend at Richmond, drivers Clint Bowyer, Josh Wise and Brett Moffitt feature Byrnes’ image on their car hoods.

The image on Wise's No. 98 Phil Parsons Racing Ford covers the whole hood. Parsons, a former NASCAR driver, spent time in the broadcast booth with Byrnes.
