The Mercedes duo collided on lap two at Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday, with Hamilton eventually retiring after suffering a punctured tyre.

Rosberg went on to finish second to Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo to take a 29-point lead in the Formula One drivers' standings.

Hamilton said Rosberg had admitted post-race to causing the collision "on purpose" and "to prove a point".

The German denied that, but refused to go into details as to what was said.

"I've been told what Lewis has said to the press," Rosberg said in a video blog.

"He has stated his version of events and all I can say is that my view of events is very different.

"But it's better if l don't give all the details of my opinion and I hope you can respect that. I'd prefer to keep it internal."

Rosberg said there would be further discussions ahead of the Italian Grand Prix on September 7.

"We need to look forward," he said.

"There will be another discussion for sure because we need to see if we need to change our approach in the future, as we did in Hungary. And we will do that.

"I'm confident that as always we are going to find back to our way. And then keep fighting in Monza and on we go."
