Scott McLaughlin and Chaz Mostert have won the second and third races respectively of the Ipswich 360 weekend at Queensland Raceway on Sunday.

Holden driver McLaughlin (Fujitsu Racing GRM) won just his second race of the 2013 V8 Supercars season earlier in the day when he crossed the finish line first with a time of 39 minutes and 34.7531 seconds.

Championship leader Jamie Whincup (Red Bull Racing Australia) came second after clocking 39:35.4520 and despite finishing the third race of the weekend in 25th position, he still managed to tighten his grip on top spot of the drivers' championship and now enjoys a 129-point lead over nearest rival and team-mate Craig Lowndes.

Holden Racing Team driver James Courtney (39:37.1668) was next-fastest while Fabian Coulthard (39:40.7288) and Jason Bright (39:43.3759) ensured an all-Holden top five in the 23rd race of the year.

But Race 24 took on a very different complexion with the top four slots occupied by Ford cars.

The first of which belonged to Mostert (Wilson Security Racing) who broke through for his first race victory of the year after he recorded 38:01.9509.

Mostert was followed by Pepsi Max Crew FPR Ford pair Will Davison and Mark Winterbottom who registered times of 38:03.9612 and 38:05.9451 respectively.

David Reynolds (The Bottle-O FPR Ford) ended up fourth after clocking 38:09.5590 while Coulthard (38:09.9285) rounded out the top five.

With 13 races remaining, Whincup remains on top of the drivers' championship with 1803 points ahead of Lowndes (1674), Davison (1592), Winterbottom (1561) and Coulthard (1493).
