A crushing wreck into the infield wall during last Saturday’s Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway resulted in a compound leg fracture and a broken foot for Kyle Busch.

After surgery and three days of treatment in Florida and three more in North Carolina, Busch has been released from the hospital.

Busch is out of the Sprint Cup Series indefinitely while he recovers. Joe Gibbs announced Tuesday that that David Ragan will drive the No. 18 Toyota in his absence.
