Korea dropped from F1 calendar

The race, held from 2010 to 2013, was a surprise re-addition to the calendar when it was revealed in December.

F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone had said last month the race had been added for legal reasons but organisers "would rather it not happen".

Its withdrawal from the calendar was confirmed on the F1 website on Tuesday.

The race was scheduled to be the fifth of the season, after Australia, Malaysia, China and Bahrain, on May 3.

The Australian Grand Prix opens the campaign on March 15.
