Jimmie Johnson gets 71st career win in Atlanta

Jimmie Johnson won the 2015 Folds of Honor Quicktrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday to earn his 71st career win in NASCAR.

Kevin Harvick, who led for 116 laps, had to settle for second, 1.8 seconds behind Johnson, while Dale Earnhardt Jr claimed third.

Daytona 500 champion Joey Logano finished fourth and Matt Kenseth completed the top five on a wet track in Georgia.

Sunday's victory saw Johnson move up to second overall in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings with 87 points, one behind Logano, while Harvick (86) dropped to third and Earnhardt Jr (84) was bumped down to fourth.

Martin Truex Jr sits fifth in the overall standings with 75 points after claiming sixth in Atlanta.
