Lewis Hamilton turned the tables on Nico Rosberg to finish fastest in the final practice session at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Hamilton was second quickest behind Mercedes team-mate Rosberg in the second practice session on Friday, but it was the world champion who set the pace on Saturday.

Rosberg had expressed concern over the pace of Ferrari after topping the timesheets in the second session and with good reason following another impressive showing from the Italian team.

But it was Hamilton who would have given the German the biggest cause for concern ahead of qualifying.

There was more promise for Ferrari as Sebastian Vettel finished second behind Hamilton, who clocked 1:34.599 and was just 0.069 seconds faster than the four-time world champion.

Rosberg was third quickest - 0.369 seconds slower than his team-mate - while Kimi Raikkonen was fourth a day after being quickest in the first practice session.

A red flag brought a halt to the session after 30 minutes when Red Bull Daniil Kvyat lost control on turn four and spun into the gravel before Hamilton clocked the fastest lap with seven minutes remaining.
