Hamilton: No rush over new deal

Reigning Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton says he is in no hurry to enter talks with Mercedes about signing a new deal.

Hamilton sealed his second F1 title in November, finishing ahead of team-mate Nico Rosberg by taking victory in the final race of 2014 in Abu Dhabi.

Now into the final phase of his three-year deal with Mercedes, Hamilton is not concerned with rushing to come to an agreement with the team, as he feels both parties have a mutual trust and understanding.

"As soon as I left the last race, I was at the factory for a couple of days, but I haven’t sat down with the team," he told Sky Sports.

"But, again, we said last year we're not in a rush. We're relaxed.

"The team have acknowledged they want to continue with me and vice versa, so there is no stress.

"I'm comfortable and confident and trust that they're not speaking to anyone else and they know that's the case with me."
