Force India to unveil 2015 car on Friday

Force India face a race against time to ensure their 2015 car is ready for the Formula One season after confirming it will not begin testing until Friday.

Having missed the first round of testing in Jerez, Force India made their first appearance of the season in Barcelona last week, albeit in their 2014 car on 2015 tyres.

Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez both managed to get some laps under their belts, yet with the new season only two and a half weeks away neither driver has driven their new car.

That is all due to change in Barcelona on Friday, with team bosses hopeful they do not encounter any problems as they seek important data ahead of the Australian Grand Prix.

"Our VJM08 is currently on its way to Barcelona; we'll be aiming for action on Friday afternoon and on the two full final days," the team announced on Twitter.

"With the car due to be completed on Friday morning, Nico Hulkenberg is lined to step in on Friday pm to take the first miles in the VJM08.

"The remaining two days will be split between him and Sergio Perez, with the Hulk in the car on Saturday and Checo [Perez] on Sunday."
