A bribery trial involving Ecclestone ensured the F1 supremo hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons before it came to an end in August.
Despite turning 84 in October and enduring a year to forget, Ecclestone insists he remains as enthused as ever about the sport he has been a part of for over five decades.
"I'm happy here as long as the board are happy," said Ecclestone.
"When I think I can't deliver any longer I shall retire, but I'm not at that stage, not at the moment.
"The good thing is, every day I get up and I never know what is going to happen. It keeps me on my toes.
"I still enjoy what I do."
