Ricciardo: Red Bull is weak in every aspect

Red Bull have no advantage over the likes of Mercedes and Ferrari this year, Daniel Ricciardo has claimed.

After five races in the 2015 Formula One season, Red Bull sit fourth in the constructors' championship - 172 points adrift of leaders Mercedes.

Ricciardo has claimed Red Bull balanced their lack of top-line speed relative to Mercedes last year with more downforce, which allowed them to edge ahead in tight corners, but the Australian driver believes the Austrian outfit has no such advantage in 2015.

"We're by no means the quickest in the fast corners so we're not really optimal," he told Autosport.

"I think last year we lacked power but we were making it up through some high-speed corners and I think we haven't gained at least in some areas.

"Unfortunately we don't have a gain anywhere. In some places we're sort of there or thereabouts but we're not strong anywhere at the moment."

Ricciardo's best result this year has been sixth at both the Australian Grand Prix and Bahrain GP, with the 25-year-old sitting seventh in the drivers' championship standings with 25 points, 86 behind leader Lewis Hamilton.

Red Bull's other driver Daniil Kvyat has not finished higher than ninth.
