UPDATE: Juan Pablo Montoya wins the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500

Two crew members were struck by a car in an incident on pit road midway through the Indianapolis 500, injuring one more seriously than the other, according to the driver of the car that hit the crewmen.

The incident occurred when the No. 63 Dale Coyne Racing car driven by Pippa Mann struck the No. 19 Dale Coyne car driven by James Davison, pushing it into the No. 18 pit stall of teammate Tristan Vautier, striking the two right-side tire changers.

One crew member, Greg Senerius, was released following treatment at the infield care center. The other, Daniel Jang, was transported to Indiana University hospital for evaluation of a right ankle injury, The Indianapolis Star reported

"I think we just took his feet away from him rather than run him over," Davison told ABC after the incident.
