Clubs to enter pleas
April 8, 10.02am: Wests Tigers have until midday Tuesday to decide whether to fight a shoulder charge case brought against veteran Braith Anasta. Anasta will receive a two-game ban if he accepts the early guilty plea for his hit on Manly winger David Williams. Also set to enter pleas are St George Illawarra's Jack de Belin (danger throw) and Melbourne forward Dayne Weston (crusher tackle).

Green expected slow start
April 8, 9.15am: North Queensland coach Paul Green is not surprised it has taken over a month for his side to finally click. The Cowboys broke a three-match losing streak in thrashing Newcastle 28-2 on Monday night. "It was always going to take time and we're not there yet," Green said. "We've still got work to do but it was a step in the right direction of how we want to play. "It's now about replicating it."

McKinnon injury no excuse
April 8, 9am: Newcastle captain Kurt Gidley says his side's flat performance against North Queensland had nothing to do with an emotional letdown. The Knights were thrashed 28-2 just eight days after belting Cronulla 30-0 in their first match after McKinnon suffered a broken neck and spinal damage. "It just felt like it was back to footy and obviously still having Alex in our minds," Gidley said. "I felt a lot better going into the game this week than last so it's no excuse."

Eels will be a lot better
April 8 7.55am: The Roosters are expecting to meet a completely different Parramatta side on Saturday compared to the one they thrashed by 52 points last month. Since being belted 56-4 by the premiers back in Round 2, the Eels went down narrowly to Manly before recording back to back wins. "Parramatta have been awesome since then (Round 2)," Roosters lock Boyd Cordner said. "They have been playing some outstanding footy. We know it is not going to be the same game as Round 2. "They are going to be tough."
