The season will commence at Suncorp Stadium on Thursday March 5 when the Broncos play host to 2014 premiers South Sydney, with the traditional blockbuster between the Roosters and the Rabbitohs to be staged on Sunday afternoon in round two.

A busy Easter period will see two games staged on Good Friday while three more matches will be played on Easter Monday.

Perhaps the highlight of the draw comes on ANZAC Day on what will be the 100th anniversary of the landings at Gallipoli.

Along with the traditional Roosters v Dragons clash at Allianz Stadium, four other games will be held in Auckland, Newcastle, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Channel 9 will also have live coverage of games on Sunday at 4pm, while a say called 'Festival of Football' will be held Melbourne to celebrate the second Origin match which will be played at the MCG.

NRL Head of Commercial Paul Kind insisted the fixture was family friendly, with a multitude of games scheduled on public holidays.

“We know families want to go to games on public holidays and there will be more opportunity to do this in 2015,” Kind said.

“In addition to the Easter matches, we have created a new marquee game on the Queen’s Birthday long weekend with the Bulldogs v Dragons scheduled for Monday afternoon.”

The Rugby League All Stars match will also return next year, with the game set to be played on February 13th while State of Origin will commence on May 27 at ANZ Stadium, with Origin II on June 17 at the MCG before the series concludes on July 8 at Suncorp Stadium.

The 2015 finals will begin on September with the Grand Final scheduled for October 4 at ANZ Stadium.
