Pritchard ban stands

Canterbury Bulldogs will be without Frank Pritchard for Saturday's clash against St George after the NRL Judiciary found him guilty of a careless tackle charge.

Pritchard was charged with a grade-one careless high tackle for a shoulder hit on Penrith's David Simmons that left the winger unconscious.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge and argued that Simmons contributed to his own concussion after he dipped his head just before impact.

The judiciary dismissed it, meaning Pritchard will miss this weekend's clash and have 69 carry-over points.

"I am very disappointed, but I just have to sit back now and support the boys," Pritchard said.

"It comes down to split-second decisions and they took their time to look at it. But what can you do?

"I'm going to go back and I'll have to look at my technique."

He could have escaped with a reprimand if it wasn't for a 50 percent loading carried over from last season.
