Strength - Valentine Holmes

It takes a lot to knock down South Sydney Rabbitohs star Greg Inglis...

But Cronulla Sharks young gun Valentine Holmes managed just that with a wind-assisted kickoff.

Skill - Jarrod Garlett

Playing only his third career game, Gold Coast Suns youngster Jarrod Garlett showed what an exciting prospect he is with an exhilarating 100m running goal against Geelong on Sunday.

The 18-year-old won a contest on the wing and then proceeded to burn off his opponents with searing pace before finishing expertly.

We can expect to see plenty more of the number 15 draft pick's skills over the coming years.

Mental Toughness - Luke Brooks

It takes a lot of guts to get up after being hit by an 107kg freight train....

Wests Tigers halfback Luke Brooks was having a cracker against the Raiders until he was smashed by opponent Iosia Soliola.

Brooks got up straight away with a wry smile on his face, trying to show that the hit hadn't affected him.

Endurance - Sharks and Rabbitohs fans

Sydney's wild weather has capitvated the nation over the past few days.

Spare a thought for the poor Sharks and Rabbitohs fans who braved hurricane-like conditions at Shark Park to see their teams play on Monday night.

There may not have been many, but the few who showed up deserve plenty of kudos.
