Newcastle coach Wayne Bennett has added another St George Illawarra player to his revolution at the Knights with Dragons back-rower Beau Scott signing with the club on Friday.

The off-contract Scott has signed a four-year deal with the Knights, starting in 2013.

Scott is the fourth Dragons player to follow Bennett to the Knights with Darius Boyd, Adam Cuthbertson and Alex McKinnon joining the club for this season.

"Beau is one of those rare marquee players that ticks all the boxes in our recruitment and retention criteria and carries many of the values we demand in our Club identified by our Advisory Board under Chairman Paul Harragon," Knights CEO Matt Gidley said.

"Beau-s genuine leadership qualities will have a huge influence over the culture we are building not only at the NRL level but throughout the entire Club."

"The signing of a player of Beau-s quality, who fits the fabric of Newcastle and the Club, will excite many of our members and key stakeholders whilst also having a great impact on the young men entering our Club."

"Having players of Beau's character join our Club is also a clear indication the Knights new direction is being embraced by players, coaches and officials in the game."
