Henjak mum on GI

Broncos coach Ivan Henjak has dismissed speculation about his club's renewed interest in Storm centre Greg Inglis, insisting his sole focus is on the club's 2010 campaign.

With Melbourne needing to slash its wages bill for 2011 by seven figures, having last week had it confirmed that it was projected to exceed the salary cap by $1.3 million, Inglis has been linked with a move to Brisbane.

With Inglis reportedly keen to move north to join his fiancee in the Queensland capital, the potential switch had last week been all but written off by some after the Broncos said they would not budge on their offer to the Maroons and Kangaroos star, an offer believed to be $400,000 a season.

But that was before the News Limited-commissioned report into the club's salary-cap rorting was released late last week, increasing media speculation since that Inglis hasn't abandoned the idea of changing clubs.

While Inglis enjoyed making suggestions in 2008 that he might switch codes when his then deal with the club expired, only to later admit he'd been having fun at the media's expense, several Brisbane officials and players have spoken of their hope of luring the 23-year-old to Queensland.

But Henjak told Broncos TV on Tuesday that while he would love to see the man known as GI in a Broncos jersey in 2011, right now he couldn't care less about all of the speculation and just wants to concentrate on Monday's game against the Roosters.

"It's not an issue for us," Henjak said. "It hasn't really dragged on - it only just started not that long ago."

"Our management will handle that in the next few days or weeks or however long it takes."

"We are not in any rush. If he signs it will be a positive, if not then we will just keep heading where we are heading."

"I'm not even worried about Greg or what's happening next year. We've got a year to finish here, we are in good shape and everything is going nicely and we have to keep going that way."
