Bailey leaves Hull KR for personal reasons

Ryan Bailey - CROPPED

Ryan Bailey has left Hull KR for personal reasons after making just one appearance for the club since switching from Super League rivals Leeds Rhinos.

The forward, highly decorated following over a decade in the first team at Headingley, agreed a two-year deal back in October, but that contract has been terminated by mutual consent.

Injuries hampered Bailey's short stint at Hull KR and Chris Orr, his agent, has praised the club's professionalism for allowing the 30-year-old to depart.

"I would like to thank Hull Kingston Rovers for the way they have conducted themselves during our discussions over the past few weeks," Orr told Hull KR's official website.

"They have respected Ryan's right to privacy throughout this process and have offered him their full support.

"We couldn't have asked for anymore during what has been a difficult time in Ryan's private life, but it’s now best to move on for all parties."
