Broncos: Team Preview

The gains and losses column doesn't make great reading for Broncos fans. Gone are wide-running sensation Dave Taylor, quality full-back Karmichael Hunt and veteran forward Tonie Carroll. Denan Kemp and Melbourne's Scott Anderson arrive at Red Hill in what has been a modest build-up to the 2010 season. The Broncos probably over-achieved in reaching last year's grand-final qualifier and look a team headed south, not north.

What has to go right: Darren Lockyer must quit rep footy and totally dedicate himself to the Broncos' cause. If he stays fully fit and focused then Brisbane is capable of continuing its remarkable run of finals appearances.

What could go wrong: Lockyer plays on for Queensland and Australia and suffers a season-ending injury.
