Utai re-signs with Tigers

11/30/2011 03:04:23 AM

Bullocking winger Matt Utai has signed a new one-year deal with the Wests Tigers on Wednesday.

Off-contract at the end of the 2011 season, Utai has settled his playing future by agreeing to stay with the Tigers for another 12 months.

The 30-year-old joined with the Tigers at the start of 2011 after a season playing park football and proved to be a great acquisition for Tim Sheens, playing 20 games and scoring six tries.

"His experience was invaluable in the run in to the finals series," Tigers Recruitment Manager Warren McDonnell said."

"We are very pleased that Matt will be in the Wests Tigers jersey again in 2012."
