Australia will be without Tony Williams for Sunday's clash with Wales after the backrower pleaded guilty to a high tackle on England's Ben Westwood.
The Manly star was hit with a one-match suspension by the international match review committee over the incident which occurred during Saturday's 36-20 win over England.
Williams opted against fighting the ban and will sit out this weekend's final round-robin clash in Wrexham.
Beau Scott is likely to replace Williams with coach Tim Sheens certain to rest some of his stars with the Kangaroos having already qualified for the final with wins over New Zealand and England.
Australia are already without Billy Slater for the remainder of the tournament due to his shoulder injury and they were dealt a further blow on Monday when Robbie Farah returned home to be with his sick mother.
