Inglis named on bench

Kangaroos centre Greg Inglis has been named on an extended bench for Australia's Four Nations opener against New Zealand on Saturday morning (AEDT).

South Sydney' Inglis, Brisbane forward Corey Parker and St George Illawarra's Beau Scott have been added to the 17 that dominated the Kiwis 42-6 on October 16.

Inglis hasn't played since injuring his ankle against the Broncos in Round 25 of the NRL season.

But coach Tim Sheens is expected to take a cautious approach with the boom centre and keep him on the sidelines for this week's clash in Warrington.

Billy Slater, Akuila Uate, W illieTonga, Chris Lawrence, Darius Boyd, Darren Lockyer (c), Johnathan Thurston, Paul Gallen, Cam Smith, Matt Scott, Luke Lewis, Sam Thaiday, Anthony Watmough. Interchange: Cooper Cronk, Keith Galloway, David Shillington, Tony Williams, Beau Scott, Greg Inglis, Corey Parker.
