William Hopoate - the son of notorious NRL bad boy John Hopoate - will get another chance to press his claims for a spot in the senior side during the Sea Eagles' trial against the Warriors on Saturday.
Hopoate jnr, an elusive fullback or winger brought along slowly in the Manly junior ranks, received a taste of the top grade in a trial against Cronulla earlier this month.
He is set to spend even more time on the field against the Warriors in Manly's final hit-out before the premiership.
Possessing a slimmer build and with more pace than his famous father, William is seen as a star of the future and will be given his chance at NRL level in 2010.
Hopoate will travel across the Tasman as part of a full-strength 22-man Manly line-up for the North Harbour Reserve clash.
Trent Hodkinson and Kieran Foran will both spend time at half-back as coach Des Hasler continues his quest to find a successor for Matt Orford.
The pair will also be united in the halves, with Foran equally at home at five-eighth.
The Sea Eagles will also unveil their four new signings - Joe Galuvao, Matt Cross, Terence Seu Seu and Dean Whare.
And the side will play under a co-captain system for the first time in the club's 63-year history, with Jamie Lyon and Jason King taking on the dual role.
Hasler plans to play his starting XIII for at least 30 minutes as he looks ahead to the first-round NRL clash against the Tigers.
The Warriors come into the trial on the back of consecutive trial wins.
"This is another good test to see where we are at," Hasler said.
"The Warriors are always a difficult side to play and they will give us the sort of game we need at this stage of the season."
