Ennis facing suspension

Feisty Bulldogs hooker Michael Ennis is in danger of missing his team's second-round clash against the Dragons after being hit with a careless high tackle charge by the NRL match review committee.
Ennis will miss one match if he takes the early guilty plea - or fights the charge and loses - after hitting Newcastle's Matt Hilder across the face during the sixth minute of the Dogs' shock loss on Saturday night.
The strike had the look of a 'square up' after Hilder had labelled Ennis 'a grub' pre-match.
Surprisingly, the Knights didn't even receive a penalty.
Asked about the incident after the game, Newcastle coach Rick Stone said: "I was very disappointed that we didn't get a penalty at the least."
"I'd like to think the judiciary will have a serious look at that during the week."
Two other players - Gold Coast's Bodene Thompson and the Warriors' James Maloney - were both charged with dangerous contact (with kicker) following the Titans' 24-18 win.
They will escape suspension with early guilty pleas.
