Braith Anasta has labelled the Wests Tigers' decision to employ security guards to keep the Roosters out of the Sydney Football Stadium as 'stupid' and 'paranoid'.
The joint-venture club have opted against playing their home final at Leichhardt Oval or Campbelltown next weekend, preferring to play at the SFS in front of a larger crowd.
The Tigers plan to take full advantage of the facilities at the Roosters' home base after revealing they'll relocate from Concord Oval to Moore Park for the entire week.
And they've made it clear the Tri Colours won't be given full access to the top-class facilities they are accustomed to, with security patrols also instructed to keep prying Roosters' eyes away from Tigers training sessions.
"It seems stupid to me," a perplexed Anasta told Sportal at Sydney airport on Friday morning.
"I think it's great they've taken the game there but they're getting a bit personal I think."
"They can have their space, we're not insecure at all. We've been there all year and that's our base for the time being and we really enjoy playing at the SFS and we're happy to share it with them."
"If they want to take it over then I suppose they can take it over for the week but no hard feelings."
"It seems very paranoid. It seems like they have a bit of an issue there. We're happy to take a backward step. They deserve the right if they finish on top of us to have the home semi and to treat it as their home ground."
"It's a big place the footy stadium, I'm sure two footy teams can fit there. But if they don't want us there maybe we can just hang out at the cricket oval for a week."
While the top-eight is yet to be decided, there is a strong chance the second-placed Tigers will meet the Roosters, who sit in sixth spot heading into Round 26, in the first week of the finals.
The Tigers can lock up second spot with a win over Gold Coast on Friday night but could finish as low as fourth with a loss, while the Roosters can end the season anywhere from fourth to eighth spot ahead of Saturday's clash with North Queensland.
Anasta welcomed the prospect of facing Tim Sheens' men next weekend.
"We've played them twice this year and had a good result on both occasions so we'd be pretty confident heading into the game but at this stage it's too early to know who we're going to play, but we're not too fussed with who we play," he said.
Meanwhile, Anasta confirmed full-back Anthony Minichiello is in doubt for Saturday's clash with a hamstring injury.
The veteran, who missed last week's win over Manly, travelled with the team on Friday and will be given until kick-off to prove his fitness.
"I think Mini's in a bit of doubt actually," Anasta said.
"He hurt his hamstring last week so he's in doubt as to whether he'll play. He's going to be given until the game but he's in doubt for this week."
Young gun Jonathan Ford filled in for Minichiello against the Sea Eagles but Anasta was coy when asked who'll wear the No.1 jersey this weekend.
Despite their lowly position on the ladder, Anasta is expecting a tough encounter against the 15th-placed Cowboys in Townsville.
"It's never easy (at Dairy Farmers Stadium) and they've beat us I think the last two or three times we've played them," he said.
"It's a home game for them, they've had a pretty ordinary season ... and they've got players leaving and playing their last game for the Cowboys so they do have a lot to play for."
