Deamer is the fourth trainer to prepare the four-year-old daughter of Charge Forward, who trying to break her maiden status at start number eight.

Swaane began her career with the late Guy Walter (one start) before being transferred to David Vandyke at Warwick Farm. Vandyke gave the then filly four runs before she was moved on to Ron Quinton for two starts.

In her seven runs Swaane has been placed on five occasions, all in provincial class races, a strong pointer to her chances at Muswellbrook on Friday.

Swaane resumes from a 203-day spell in the Bengalla Maiden Plate (900m) with apprentice Samantha Clenton in the saddle.

"She's had a few chances in her career but hopefully she can break through on Friday,” Deamer said. "She's a sound mare, a good sized mare at around 500 kilos.

"I ride her every day. I've been happy with her progress.”

Deamer hasn't given her an official trial but Swaane has had the benefit of a couple of jump outs.

"She's well educated and has jumped on the bridle straight out of the gates,” he said. "She's got good gate speed out of the barriers and should be nice and handy on Friday.

"She's not the easiest mare to train but she's pleased me in what she's done. She's had a fair bit of work and is ready to go.

"It's a nice starting point for her, she's got a good weight (57kg) and a nice barrier (six).”
