Piccadillies, a half-sister to the brilliant racehorse and champion sire Fastnet Rock, made her first public appearance for trainers Lee and Anthony Freedman in the fourth heat of the morning.

The Uncle Mo filly was a touch slow away but improved throughout the 800m heat to shade the Brent Stanley-trained Giroux at the finish in a time of 47.81 seconds on the good (3) rated surface.

Both Piccadillies and Giroux are among the entries for Saturday's two-year-old race at Moonee Valley.

Another well-related galloper, the Robert Smerdon-trained More Bubbles, won the third heat of the morning in a time of 48.83 seconds.

More Bubbles is a half-sister to the Group I Myer Classic winner Politeness by Sebring and fetched $100,000 as a yearling earlier this year.

Smerdon had three of the six runners in the heat with More Bubbles always racing on the speed for jockey Mark Zahra before striding home one length ahead of her stablemate Font Magica in 48.83 seconds.

Smerdon said he would send More Bubbles back to the spelling paddock for further development before reproducing her late in the season.

Smerdon produced the fastest two-year-old trailer of the morning when Threepeat clocked 46.88 seconds for 800m in the first two-year-old heat.

Threepeat, a son of Blue Diamond Stakes winner Reward For Effort, struggled in his first trial at Cranbourne on November 9 but improved markedly with Craig Williams in the saddle in his latest hit-out.
