Serene Majesty turned heads with a devastating win over 1250 metres at Canterbury last month, crossing the line more than five lengths ahead of the second-placed horse.

The win earned high praise from jockey Blake Shinn and Snowden, who trains in partnership with son Paul.

On Saturday Serene Majesty finds herself amongst the likes of Speak Fondly, English and Ottoman in the Group II Furious Stakes (1200m) but Snowden believes the daughter of Fastnet Rock has earned her place in the race.

"She's a nice filly, she's still not there yet and she's in the deep end on Saturday but I do think she is a filly of some quality and I'm sure at some stage she'll measure up to this level,” Snowden said.

"I do think she's a prep away but she deserves a crack at a race like this.”

Similarly, American-bred filly Tap This is a horse Snowden holds in high regard. The daughter of Tapit has finished in the placings at all three of her career starts, including a sound last start performance behind Raphael's Cat at Canterbury over 1200 metres.

Tap This will contest the Listed Ming Dynasty Quality (1400m) on Saturday.

"She's another nice filly, going well, I think she's up to a stakes race,” he said.

"She's in the Ming Dynasty and from there I think we can go to the Tea Rose Stakes and then I'm looking at the Flight. I know it's an ambitious plan but her run at Canterbury was very good.

"She was doing her best work late, very strong athletic type so there's a lot to like about her.”

Tap This is quoted at $15 with online bookmaker Sportsbet while Serene Majesty is listed as a $7 chance.
