Secret Agenda

$4

On pace runner, outside gate with plenty of pace drawn underneath - that is the scenario facing Craig Newitt aboard the Mick Price-trained Secret Agenda. We've also got the highly promising Harlem River resuming and a few lightly raced types that could easily get involved off softer draws. Secret Agenda is going to need a gem of a ride and catch all the breaks. Hardly what you want when only getting $4 odds. Lay.

Peeping

$3.80

It's always tough to lay a horse that you have a soft spot for and Peeping is one of those horses you cannot help to give a little cheer, even when you're not on. But, punting is a serious business and we have serious doubts regarding Peeping getting a strong mile, especially at headquarters. She was found out when tested at 1400m last campaign but proved she was a touch stronger this prep when scoring at Rosehill (1400m) last start in the Golden Pendant. This is a different story though. Racenet Raceday didn't have her in their top three picks.

Aimee

$3.30

This four-year-old mare went seven starts last campaign without managing a win yet first-up on Saturday is very short in the market. Granted it's a small field but we have are confident that the winner of this race will come from one of two hard-fit in-form gallopers. Riva De Lago was very impressive winning first-up and gets in well after the 3kg claim whilst Rosenet was dominant over the 1350m here last time and coming back to 1200m won't be an issue from the perfect gate.

Trueno

$4.40

Our Adelaide analysts have I Am Gypsy just winning this race whereas Trueno didn't find a spot in the top four picks for Racenet Raceday so at odds of $4.40 it was an easy lay for this five-year-old son of Written Tycoon. Does have a habit of finishing runner-up with only three wins but six second placings from 19 career starts.

Meteoroid

$2.30

We're not knocking this mare's record (6:3-2-0), in fact those are the stats that generally earn a start in Weekend Winners. However we doubt she can run out a strong 1600m from a tricky gate. This is her first try at the distance and was shaded over 1400m here last start. The race is much more open than the market suggests so we have Meteoroid marked as big unders.
