A class mare but faces a big task to win this first-up. Was rolled when resuming last campaign and was spelled after being unplaced as favourite in the Group I Queen Of The Turf. Missed her scheduled first-up run a fortnight ago due to a foot abscess so is already behind the eight-ball. Drawn the outside gate here in a capacity field so going to need all of the favours. She's simply too short in a race where you can make a case for nearly every other runner. Lay of the day.

Every now and then you just have to put them on the line and the Racenet crew generally only do that after 10 schooners but this week we'll make an exception. Contributer may well win on Saturday but we think $1.75 is under the odds. He's first-up whereas his two main dangers have had a run back. The two dangers will settle on pace and handy whereas Contributer will get back on the fence and need some luck. Dwayne Dunn is an absolute top jockey but this will be his first ride on the horse and at the end of the day Contributer's grand final is the Cox Plate, and that's still seven weeks away.

The eight-year-old won two starts back around this route but hadn't won at his previous 18 attempts so we're doubtful he'll start stringing them together now. Place chance yes, winning hope, not so much.
