Murray Bridge - Kennewell the man with hot hand

Kennewell won last season's trainers' premiership at Murray Bridge and has started the 2015/16 campaign in solid fashion, notching three winners from his six runners at the venue.

Kennewell will saddle Bilzerian in the Orange Pumps Rating 62 Handicap over the short 900m course, engaging apprentice Zac Spain to partner the three-year-old gelding.

Bilzerian will start from barrier 12 after scratchings but bookmakers have him as a $7 third pick in betting on the morning of the $15,000 sprint.

Bilzerian will resume from a spell at Murray Bridge and the Racenet analysts give the son of I Am Invincible a great hope of scoring first-up as he did last time in.

"Lightly raced three-year-old resuming,” the Racenet analysts' comment read. "Comes into this off a recent more than solid trial.

"Will however need everything to go his way here from the wide draw however still has genuine each-way claims.”

The Racenet team made the Gary Searle-trained Akkacan their top pick for the race, predicting the four-year-old will show too much pace for his opposition over the short trip.

The $3.60 favourite I Got A Turbo is also in the analysts' thinking after three solid runs back from a spell.

I Got A Turbo finished fourth and fifth in harder races at Morphettville her last two starts but drops back to Rating 62 company at Murray Bridge.

Justin Potter will be aboard I Got A Turbo on Wednesday.
