O'Shea has enjoyed a "fantastic preparation” with his star six-year-old and with first-up statistics of (6:5-0-0) is supremely confident his charge can win first-up, but at top odds of $1.80 concedes it is far from an over the line job.
"Barrier two around Moonee Valley isn't ideal as he will settle back,” O'Shea said. "Punters that take $1.80 could be in a frightful position when he's buried away in need of a run 600-metres from home.”
O'Shea is mindful that as a two-time Group I winning entire, he must produce Contributer wound-up to win at every start, and that is the case on Saturday.
"He has been working and trialling in great fashion,” O'Shea said. "And the cushion track at Moonee Valley will suit him.
"But when you look at the two Moonee Valley specialists Mourinho and The Cleaner, their stats are unbelievable and you've got to respect that we are coming onto their home turf.
"I think it's fair to say he's the best horse in the race but is he the best horse at Moonee Valley?” O'Shea concluded.

Three-year-old colt Furnaces is Godophin's second representative at Moonee Valley, resuming in the Group II McEwen Stakes (1000m) and is quoted at $7 with Ladbrokes.
"We ran fifth in this race last year with a horse called Orujo,” O'Shea said.
"This bloke would pick him up and spit him out so I'm confident he'll run really well.
"He has been galloping brilliantly here, maps well and has the early speed to make the most of barrier three.”
