Odyssey Moon earned more than $450,000 in the care of Scone-based trainer Rodney Northam after placing in multiple stakes races including a three-quarter length defeat to Pride Of Dubai in the Group I ATC Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m) back in April.

Speaking on Sky Sports Radio on Wednesday, Northam said the colt will remain in Melbourne for the upcoming autumn carnival after a four start campaign during the spring that yielded a third placing in the Listed McKenzie Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley.

"Odyssey Moon is going to stay in Melbourne. Robert Smerdon is going to take him this preparation,” Northam said.

Meanwhile, Northam will look to target races during the late summer and early autumn with stable stalwart Big Money, a winner of four stakes races and almost $600,000 in prizemoney.

"Big Money has been back in work for about three weeks - I've been really happy with him,” Northam told Sky Sports Radio.

"We will be looking at the late summer-early autumn with him when some of the better ones aren't quite fit and we're up and going.”
