Greg Polson's view - Weight and barrier telling factors at Nowra

The Amanda Turner and Mauro Poletti-trained Roman Warrior is a last-start Kembla Grange maiden winner when resuming from a spell and the form from the race has held up with the second horse Chrissero heading to Canberra to win whilst the third horse Count Dekroner was successful at Wagga Wagga.

The other key chance in the race is the Michael Costa-trained Miss Grainger who was only two lengths from the winner in a fillies and mares benchmark 60 handicap at Kembla Grange on November 3 won by My Fair Lady.

The form has been confirmed with My Fair Lady finishing a length from the winner at her next outing at Warwick Farm, the second horse Dashie De Luxe won a Highway Handicap in Sydney whilst the third horse Lolly Shoppe went on to win a race at the Newcastle Beaumont track.

Both gallopers certainly have the credentials to win on Sunday but weight and barriers look likely to decide result.

Roman Warrior has to carry 62kg and contend with a double-figure barrier whilst Miss Granger gets in with 55.5kg and gets all the favours in the run from the inside barrier.

Miss Granger and Roman Warrior are set to run the quinella but the weight and barrier favour the mare.
