Greg Polson's view - Glorious bet at Newcastle

An Australian Bloodstock syndicated French-bred son of Sinndar, Glorious Sinndar is ready to win at his third Australian start,

Glorious Sinndar will appreciate the step up in distance when he lines up in the Minco Tech Australia Bill Turner Memorial Benchmark 65 Handicap (2300m).

Glorious Sinndar won races over 2000 metres and 2400 metres in seven starts before heading to Australia.

Glorious Sinndar wasn't sighted at his first Australian start at Scone on a heavy track but showed considerable improvement second-up when just over a length from the winner in a class three handicap at Newcastle on a good track when stepped up to 1850 metres.

As a winner over 2400 metres overseas it is reasonable to assume we will see the best of Glorious Sinndar in that distance range so the step up to 2300 metres on Saturday should see the gelding shine.

The 1.5kg claim for Samantha Clenton reduces his impost to 59kg and with the vast majority of the field coming off country runs Glorious Sinndar looks well placed to record his first Australian win.
