The City Jeep Handicap (1000m) for the open sprinters will be the main race of the day with 12 speedsters engaged to tackle the $90,000 affair.

Group II Bobbie Lewis Quality (1200m) winner Churchill Downs will carry the number one saddlecloth while apprentice Dylan Dunn's 3kg claim will take his weight down to 57kg.

Churchill Dancer has drawn perfectly in barrier two while the expected pacesetter, the Dean Binaisse-trained Fab Fevola will start from the outside gate.

Smart performers Lonrockstar and Sistine Demon will resume in the event while Sydney trainer Gary Portelli has also accepted to run Straturbo.

Punters will face a tough start to the Moonee Valley card with a field of 12 unraced youngsters to contest the John Paraskeva Plate (1000m).

David Hayes and Tom Dabernig will run Blue Tycoon and Rampage in the $80,000 race while Robert Smerdon also has two runners in the field with Theanswermyfriend and Key Evidence to debut at Moonee Valley.

Track manager Marty Synan posted a good (4) rating for the Moonee Valley course at acceptance time but showers are forecast late on Wednesday and Thursday morning.

The rail will be in the true position for the entire circuit.

Thursday: Shower or two. Max 17.
Friday: Becoming cloudy. Max 19.
Saturday: Becoming cloudy. Max 21.
