The Canadian Club QTIS 2YO Handicap (1200m) has attracted a field of 17 runners with 13 of them Magic Millions eligible.

Two first starters sure to create interest will be the Liam Birchley-trained Crack Me Up ($60,000 purchase) and the Kelso Wood-trained Nikitas ($280,000 purchase).

With total prizemoney of $65,000 and a first prize of $41,600, a victory will be crucial in earning a spot in the $2 million Magic Millions Classic 2YO (1200m) on the Gold Coast in January.

Apart from the two-year-olds there are also two Listed events at Doomben.

The $100,000 Just Now Handicap (1350m) for fillies and mares has attracted a field of 14, with Kelso Wood's Real Surreal resuming as equal topweight from barrier 13.

The John Dann-trained Tukiyo shares topweight of 59kg and has drawn marginally better in gate 10.

There are also 14 acceptances for the $100,000 Listed Brisbane Handicap (1640m).

Robert Heathcote's Hopfgarten has been freshened since his Melbourne spring campaign and is the class runner. Craig Williams will pilot from a tricky draw - barrier 12.

Tony Gollan will be represented by four runners in the Brisbane Handicap - Traveston Girl, Trakstar, Best Of The Rest and First Bloom.

The rail at Doomben on Saturday is out six metres.

The first of nine races jumps at 12.49pm (AEDT) with the final event to be run at 5.53pm.
