Last weekend's dual Group I-winning rider will partner the Ed Dunlop-trained Trip To Paris in Saturday week's feature handicap.

Bowman was offered the ride a week ago but only committed to the Ascot Gold Cup winner on Tuesday.

"He's not very big but he stays well,” Dunlop's travelling foreman Robin Trevor Jones told News Limited last week.

"He can quicken off a pace. This horse isn't slow. He won over a mile and a half (2400m) this year. He won as a two-year-old at seven furlongs (1400m) and he stays as well so we've got everything up our sleeve."

Trip To Paris has 55kg in the Caulfield Cup, sits in 11th place in the order of entry and is a $41 chance.

Meanwhile, Sydney stewards will resume an inquiry on Thursday into Bowman's actions aboard Winx enroute to victory in last Saturday's Group I Epsom Handicap.

As the field approached the home turn, Blake Shinn aboard Kirramosa whipped around Winx, resulting in Bowman responding but it was the actions of his left elbow and forearm, which came into contact with Shinn, that attracted stewards' attention.

Stewards adjourned the matter to "enhance the images”.

"It's a nasty incident and we want to have a closer look at the position of your left elbow, or forearm,” chief steward Ray Murrihy told Bowman.

The inquiry will resume on Thursday at 9am.
