2015 Melbourne Cup - First acceptances and order of entry

A total of 82 horses, 10 more than last year, comprise the Melbourne Cup first acceptors with 15 of those runners prepared by overseas stables.

Only the Nigel Blackiston-trained Let's Make Adeal is assured of a Melbourne Cup start after earning her way into the race with her win in the Group III The Bart Cummings (2520m) at Flemington last Saturday.

Snow Sky is the highest-rated international runner remaining in the Melbourne Cup with 58kg, which left the Sir Michael Stoute-trained stayer third in the order of entry for the November 3 event.

Leading Sydney trainer Chris Waller has three runners in the top 24 in line for a Melbourne Cup start with Preferment, Who Shot Thebarman and the Sydney Cup winner Grand Marshal all likely starters.

British trainer Ed Dunlop has Red Cadeaux and Trip To Paris comfortably in the top 24 in the Melbourne Cup standings.

Japanese visitors Fame Game and Hokko Brave are sixth and 11th in the Melbourne Cup order of entry.
