Current market leader Kermadec is one of six horses trained by Waller among the 36 left following the Tuesday's first acceptance stage, along with last Saturday's Epsom Handicap winner Winx and Sunday's Turnbull Stakes winner Preferment.

Grade I Secretariat Stakes winner Highland Reel, trained by Aidan O'Brien, who won the race in 2014 with Adelaide, is one of three international entries with French-trained Gailo Chop and Qatar Racing-owned Arod.

Godolphin has four contenders left in the race including Contributer, Hartnell and Complacent while Tasmanian-trained front-runner The Cleaner is still in the race.

Last Friday's Stocks Stakes winner Fenway is one of six females in the race along with the Ciaron Maher-trained three-year-old Jameka.

Final acceptances for the $3 million Cox Plate (2040m) at Moonee Valley will close at 8.30am on Tuesday October 20.
