Zach leads, Tiger lurks

Zach Johnson is in pole position to claim the Chevron World Challenge, but Tiger Woods is just one shot behind heading into Sunday's final round.

Johnson shot a four-under par 68 at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California, on Saturday to move to eight under for the tournament, as Woods relinquished his three-shot halfway lead with a 73.

An eagle at 11 and birdies at 12 and 13 had Johnson well placed, before successive bogeys at 16 and 17 reined him in.

But Johnson pulled out a gem at the 18th, sinking a seven-iron approach shot for an eagle to move one shot clear of Woods.

The former world number one is gunning for his first win taking out the 2009 Australian Masters, but had a difficult day on Saturday with five bogeys - three of them coming on par fives - and four birdies.

South Korean KJ Choi is two shots behind Woods in third place, with Americans Gary Woodland, Hunter Mahan and Matt Kuchar on three under.
