Tiger Woods described his second round at the Phoenix Open as a bad day, but insisted he would continue fighting.
The 14-time major champion produced a career-worst 11-over 82 at TPC Scottsdale, where he not only missed the cut but also plummeted to the bottom of the leaderboard.
Woods had a triple bogey, two double bogeys and six bogeys as he slipped to 13 over for the tournament.
The 39-year-old said it was just a bad day, but he intends to keep fighting through his struggles.
"We all have days like this," Woods said.
"Unfortunately, mine was in a public forum, a public setting.
"We take the good with the bad, and the thing is even on bad days like this, keep fighting, because on the good days you've got to keep fighting as well."
Woods said he mixed his swing – using some of his previous patterns under Sean Foley and what he had learned under current consultant Chris Como.
"I was caught right between patterns, just old pattern, new pattern," he said.
"And I got better, more committed to what I was doing on my back nine and hit some better shots, but I've still got a lot of work to do."
